Anderson Family Brownie Recipe

I'm starting a collection of recipes on this blog of family favorites with the intent of providing my kids easy access to foods of their childhood for when they grow up and move away.  The best, most-loved recipe was chosen to kick off the series of posts, Rich Fudgy Brownies. 

My Best Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter (or 1 cup oil for a more frugal recipe)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ⅔ cups cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. In a good sized mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave.
  2. Stir in the sugar and cocoa until well mixed.
  3. Add the eggs and stir.
  4. Add the flour and stir.
  5. Add the vanilla and you got it, stir.
  6. Bake in a greased 9 X 13 pan 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar.
  9. Cut.
  10. Eat.
  11. Enjoy.
